Spring 2018 Programming Contest Sign Up
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
Computer Information Technology (CIT) Department
Dixie State University (DSU)

The programming contest will be held on Mar 24 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Event check-in begins at 9:00 am.

Here is an algorithm to determine your category:
Note: Use the most experienced member of your team.
If completed CS 2420:
...then advanced
else if not completed CS1400:
...then beginning
else:
...intermediate

Awards and prizes will be given during the ceremony, which will begin
as soon after 3:00 pm as possible. This is usually about 3:15 pm.

Register by Mar 12 to guarantee a shirt and $10 registration fee.
Registrations received after Mar 12 may or may not receive a shirt,
and will cost $15. All registration fees must be paid in full before
the start of the contest on Mar 24.

Through the generous donations of our sponsors, lunch and prizes will
be provided for all participants.

Teams of up to 3 programmers use their creativity, one computer,
and five hours to solve as many small programming problems as possible.
The team with the most correct solutions wins. Ties are broken by time
to complete problems, faster completion is better. Incorrect submissions
incur a time penalty, but only if the problem is eventually solved.

Registration fees can be paid directly to Nikki Dang (North Burns 230)
in cash or check. It is spring break from Mar 12 through Mar 16 so Nikki
will not be in to take payments during this break.
